Paleontologists do not publish every rock they pick up. They document what they found, where they found it, and who gets to study it next. Ansaur works the same way with your data: we collect what we need to run SEO research for your niche, we keep it for as long as your account needs it, and we do not sell your search questions to the highest bidder.
Who we are
Ansaur ("we," "us") runs ansaur.com, a research desk for creators who want to find real search questions, monthly volumes, and content gaps in their niche. If you have questions about this policy, email us at kamphey+ansaur@gmail.com.
What we collect
When you use Ansaur, we may collect:
- Account details: your email address, password (stored hashed, never in plain text), and plan tier.
- Research inputs: niche topics, seed keywords, competitor URLs, channel or site URLs, and other information you submit so we can run keyword and SERP research on your behalf.
- Research outputs: discovered questions, search volumes, gap status, notes you add, and workflow labels (filmed, written, optimized, and similar).
- Usage and billing data: credit usage, scout runs, login timestamps, and payment-related records when you subscribe or buy top-ups.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, and basic logs needed to keep the service secure and debug problems.
We do not ask you to log in to Google, YouTube, or your CMS. You give us URLs and topics; we run the research from our side.
How we use your information
We use what you share to:
- Run keyword and SERP research through third-party data providers.
- Build and maintain your question queue, gap list, and Optimize Lab suggestions.
- Authenticate your account, enforce plan limits, and process payments.
- Send transactional email (magic links, receipts, important account notices).
- Improve reliability, fix bugs, and understand which features people actually use.
Think of it like a field notebook: every entry exists to answer one question, "What should this creator make next?"
Third-party services
Ansaur relies on outside tools to do the heavy lifting. Your research inputs may be sent to:
- Data providers for keyword volume and SERP data.
- Stripe for subscription and checkout payments (we do not store full card numbers).
- Hosting and infrastructure providers that run our servers and databases.
- Email delivery services for login links and receipts.
Each provider has its own privacy policy. We share only what they need to perform the service.
Cookies and sessions
When you log in, we set a session cookie so you stay signed in. That cookie is tied to your account and expires when you log out or after a reasonable period of inactivity. We do not use cookies to follow you around the wider web or to build ad profiles. No creepy tracking pixels dressed up as fossils.
How long we keep data
We keep your account data and research results while your account is active. If you delete your account or ask us to remove your data, we will delete or anonymize it within a reasonable timeframe, except where we must keep records for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention reasons.
Your choices
You can:
- Update account details from your settings page.
- Export or copy your research data from the dashboard.
- Ask us to delete your account by emailing kamphey+ansaur@gmail.com.
- Opt out of non-essential marketing email (we send very little of this anyway).
If you are in the EU, UK, or another region with privacy rights, you may also have rights to access, correct, or port your data. Contact us and we will help.
Security
We use industry-standard practices: encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and access controls on our databases. No system is as armored as an ankylosaur, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
We do not publicly expose the URLs, keywords, notes, or research projects associated with your account.
Children
Ansaur is built for adult creators and businesses. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this page when our product or legal obligations change. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top. Significant changes may also be emailed to account holders.
